A longer choke provides a longer taper resulting in less distortion to the shot and a more consistent pattern. So we would recommend long but there is a price consideration. We offer the shorter choke as an economy and it still proved an excellent pattern.

Can I use a TEAGUE choke from a different gun to mine?
As a general rule no. If the chokes are made for an individual gun and marked with a serial number they are for that gun only. If in the case of aftermarket chokes, you have 2 guns the same bore, type and make you can interchange the chokes. If in doubt call us for advice!

I have a seized choke in my barrel, how can I get it out?
Initially submerse the whole choke area in a jar of diesel for 24 hours and then try and remove the choke as normal with the taper key. If the choke does not move you need to return the barrels to us and we will remove it. As a last resort we will machine the choke out and the gun will then be able to be used as normal.
